Let's talk about shadows ladies & a couple of you gents that read my blog, if you know me you know I'm all about the cool tones so I was very excited to see this palette, especially when it hit sephora's website and the VIB sale was right around the corner, SCORE!!!
It's the first and only palette from Violet Voss I've ever tried because truth be told I never wanted to pay full price for them, just keepin' it real. Anyway swatches will be below & I will put up a look using the palette in a later post, I've of course used the palette several times in order to do this review. The palette swatches ok I feel it needs a couple of swipes in order to get the payoff you may want on some of the matte shades which is fine it's not terrible & it's buildable, they are soft most of them and finger swatches are not reliable it's all in the way they apply to your eyes with a brush in my opinion, also keep in mind the swatches you will see below are all on my skin with NO PRIMER.
The shimmer/metallic shades swatched a bit better than the mattes with more pigmentation and less kick up, the mattes did have a good amount of kick up which means they were quite dusty but I found they blended nicely. I do feel the shimmer/metallics that I used weren't super pigmented on the lids even when I used fix plus, I mean they looked good but they didn't pack the punch I thought they would, World Class is one of them & High was another one although one was more pigmented than the other I still felt they could have done more but still good.
As you will see the shadows on the first row did not swatch great they are ok and the rest of the palette swatched better, for me most of the palette is good not the best palette I've ever used and the worst also I'm glad I got it on sale, I will definitely be using it a lot because they are the kind of shades I gravitate towards on a regular basis but I'm not sure at this point I would purchase another of the Violet Voss Palettes just judging by this one, I'm not impressed but I'm surely not hating it either and I'm not saying don't buy it I'm just saying I've used better and these shadows for the price are just ok, as compared to shadows like Colourpop which are priced much lower and are amazing but I do love the shades :))
