I'm going to start by saying these liners are amazing to me, I'm a big fan of Smashbox products if you know me you know this and this product is no different from most that I have tried.
These pencils are creamy and easy to apply, they are pigmented therefore give a very deep and crisp look and more importantly these pencils are waterproof, yes you read it correct, waterproof not water resistant as advertised on the smashbox site. They have vitamin E and Jojoba oil to keep your eyes moisturized and protect them, because they are waterproof they are of course long wearing for up to 8 hours, also budge and smudge proof as advertised on the smashbox site.
Now I have lots of allergies with ichy and watery eyes and I'm allergic to certain colors like reds, purples etc. I found with these liners which of course I put to the test that they did last much longer than other liners have lasted on me especially in the waterline. I used the liner on my upper/lower lash lines and my upper/lower water lines and found that they do last a pretty long time on me, I'm won't say 8 hours but at least 5-6 which to me is amazing enough and it does say UP to 8 hours. I've also used these on clients and they have asked where to purchase them because when they went home they also found that the liner was still in place. I did find some very slight smudging but nothing to write home to mama about.
I think these are great liners especially since a liner on me usually last about the time it takes me to go from one waterline to the other and it's gone and smudged on to my lower lash line.
I'm not one to put gel liners on my waterline that kinda freaks me out so I'm only comparing these to pencil liners and not any particular brand just in general. This is also only my personal experience with the product whether I used it on myself or a client.
The liners also have a great built in sharpener right on the cap which will help you keep those liners pointed and ready to go. They come in 8 awesome colors and hopefully more colors to come. I definitely recommend trying these if you have a problem keeping your liner on especially in that waterline.
These will run you $19 each and you can find them at:
