I'm happy to be back with a Milani review, This is the Cream to Powder Makeup Foundation compact. Milani was kind enough to send this product to me a few months ago for review consideration. I finally got a chance to try it out and have been using it for the last couple of weeks on and off as my daily foundation. I have also done a video review/demo for you guys to check out which will be linked below so you can see the foundation in action.
Ok so the foundation according to Milani is a silky, creamy smooth foundation, which is an oil free formula that glides on creamy but blends into a natural matte powder finish. Gives flawless coverage, hides imperfections and evens outs your skin tones. They also say it can be used as a corrector to cover up dark circles and blemishes.
Now, let's talk about what I think, first of all let's start with the type of skin I have which is dry to normal skin but these days mostly dry so matte foundations although I love them are not usually my friends but I usually make them work for me if I really like them. In this case I didn't have to "make" it work for me, it just did so that is a good thing of course. The foundation is smooth and glides right on to the skin, Yes even onto my dry skin, I did of course prep my skin before hand with skin primer and an oil serum and a good moisturizer but that is something I do before any foundation.
I found this foundation also had good lasting power through the day and I didn't need to touch up at all which is not something I do anyway but when testing I always check to see if it's something I need to do, it's a very lightweight foundation, doesn't feel like there is anything on the skin at all after application but you can see that the skin is even, and that is hides the imperfections really well, it leaves a great smooth and natural matte finish and you don't need a powder since it goes from cream to powder, so if you have oily skin I think this will work nicely as well. I don't know if you will need to powder through the day if you have oily skin, I guess that all depends on how oily you are and what you do to keep the oils at bay before hand but going from creme to powder into a nice matte finish should be like an all in one for someone with oily skin. As far as coverage I feel it's a light to medium coverage but I think you can build it to a much more fuller coverage if needed without caking up, I personally applied the foundation with a wet sponge which works best for me, I always feel a cream foundation looks best when applied with this technique.
All in all I am very happy with the foundation I think it's a great buy for the price, it leaves my skin flawless and my looking smooth and even toned. It's also great for all skin types and comes in 9 shades, you can find Milani in many stores such as CVS, Walgreen, Target, Winn Dixie, Sears, Kmart, Lawton Drugs, Drugstore.com and Milanicosmetics.com which I will have a link for down below.
So I hope this was helpful and if you have any questions please feel free to put the in the comments above and I will be more than happy to answer them,
