Hello My Lovelies
I'm back with another review & swatches this time it's all about my one of my fave brands which is exclusively at Sephora of course I'm talking about Kat Von D, I love her and her makeup line and this palette is no exception, I have been collecting her palettes and other makeup products for a few years now and for the most part I'm always happy. I mean nothing is perfect so I have run in to a couple of products that have not worked for me but that comes with every brand but I'm definitely not talking about this beautiful palette.
First of all the packaging is gorgeous as always it has some of her art work on it and it's beautiful. The box it comes in has the same art work. The palette is that sturdy cardboard type of palette the inside cover shares a couple of looks you can do with the shadows, then you have the shadows below which have a clear sheet over it that is attached with the names of each shadow printed on it which I love because I love when the shadows have names instead of numbers or no names and the names are adorable. There are 24 shades in all, 12 of Kat's favorite shades & 12 new shades which she created so u can " layer for endless, captivating looks " in her own words.
I found most of the shadows to be pigmented with great smooth and silky textures, easy to swatch and easy to blend. I also found that lots of the shadows worked great wet which surprised me because I'm not one to use my shadow wet. There were a couple of shadows that were a bit sheer and not as pigmented as the rest but they are buildable all on their own and with a primer and or base even better. There are different types of finishes semi-mattes, satins, shimmers & glitter shadows (these are my descriptions of the finishes). Below you will see swatches I didn't use any Primer & Base for my swatches so that you can see the shadows in their true form, so take a look and then you can decide for yourself if this is a palette for you but I will say that all in all I think the palette is beautiful inside and out and well worth the money. It retails for $55, There is a link below straight to the palette if you have any questions or comments post them above. Hope you guys enjoyed this post and hope it was helpful!!
